It depends on the specific ETF. ETFs can be either accumulating or distributing:
- Accumulating ETFs: Any dividends or income generated by the underlying assets are automatically reinvested back into the fund. You do not receive cash payments, but the value of your ETF shares grows to reflect the reinvested income. Most ETFs available on Mintos are accumulating.
- Distributing ETFs: Dividends or income are paid out to investors periodically as cash.
The product page for each ETF on Mintos will indicate whether it is accumulating or distributing. If you’re unsure which type suits your needs, consider consulting a qualified financial advisor.
