A mistrade occurs when an ETF order executes incorrectly due to a technical error. Examples include:
- An order executing at a significantly wrong price (for example, an ETF was purchased at €10, but executed at €100).
- A system error causing an order to go through with incorrect details.
- A technical issue on the exchange prevented the order from executing as intended.
Mistraded transactions typically result from technical problems on the exchange’s side, not from mistakes made when placing the order. Whether a transaction constitutes a mistrade is decided solely by the relevant execution venue and, if applicable, its supervisory authority. Mintos has no control over these decisions.
