To comply with applicable regulations, we may ask you to provide a document confirming your current country and address of residence. This can apply when your registered country of residence differs from your country of citizenship, or as part of due diligence, compliance checks, or other regulatory requirements. We may also periodically ask you to reconfirm your country of residence. We will get in touch with you if this applies.
The primary document we accept is a valid residence permit
A valid residence permit issued by your country of residence and showing your full name is our primary and preferred proof of residence. Please upload clear images of both sides of the document. If you hold a valid residence permit, this is the document you should provide.
Alternative documents (only if you do not have a residence permit)
If you cannot provide a residence permit, you may upload one of the following documents instead. The document must be issued in the last 3 months and must clearly show your full name and your current residential address:
Please note: if you submit a utility bill or another alternative document, we may still request a valid residence permit at a later stage as part of our ongoing customer due diligence.
- A current utility bill, such as a gas, electricity, water, or internet bill, issued in your name at your home address. The bill must be a residential bill (not a corporate bill in a company’s name).
- An invoice for rent issued by your landlord or property management.
- A current car or home insurance policy.
- A document issued by a government department, a mortgage statement, or an equivalent document.
Documents we do not accept as proof of residence
Please do not upload the following; they will be rejected, and we will ask you to resend a valid document:
- National identity card or passport
- Driver’s licence
- Bank statements or account statements
- Credit card statements
- Tax returns or other documents prepared by you (not issued by an authority)
- Mobile phone bills, and corporate utility bills (in a company name rather than your personal name)
- Bills, statements, or letters older than 3 months
- Handwritten documents, screenshots without source information, cropped and partially visible documents, or documents without a clear issuer.
- Insurance quotes or marketing letters (only an active policy is accepted)
- Medical or healthcare-related documents, including but not limited to bills, appointment letters, or hospital invoices

- Alternative documents (utility bills, insurance, tenancy agreements, etc.) include your full name, current residential address, and are issued within the last 3 months.
- If you hold a valid residence permit, upload images of both sides of the document. The document must be issued by your current country of residence and include your full name.
- If you submit an alternative document, we may still request a valid residence permit at a later stage.
