If you previously used Mintos Loans portfolios, you may have noticed that the keep available feature is no longer enabled on Mintos. Here's why.
With Mintos Loans portfolios, any available funds in your account were automatically invested into loans. This worked well if you were investing only in loans.
However, many investors now build portfolios across multiple asset classes, such as loans, bonds, and ETFs. To keep funds available for other investments, you previously had to manually set an amount to keep available.
Many investors, especially those newer to Mintos, weren’t aware of this step. As a result, all their funds could be automatically invested in loans, leaving no funds available for other asset classes.
The new portfolio approach simplifies this.
Instead of reserving funds to keep available, you now decide how much money each portfolio can invest. This makes it easier to manage different asset classes and ensures your money is invested according to your plan – without additional manual steps.
Automated portfolios include: Core Loans, Custom Loans, High-Yield Bonds portfolio, and ETFs.
Take away the effort of manually allocating funds to your automated portfolios and create an investment plan.
How do I create an investment plan?
- Go to the automated portfolio you want to create an investment plan for, and select Top up
- Enter the amount, then choose Investment plan
- Decide the frequency: weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly, or every 3 months, and the date for the investment plan to allocate funds
- Select Review, check the details, then Confirm
- Your investment plan is now active
Make sure you have enough funds in your available cash to cover the amount of the investment plan. You can create multiple investment plans for each automated portfolio.
How do I edit or cancel an investment plan?
You can cancel or edit an investment plan at any time. Any active investment plans will appear in your main and automated portfolios overview.
- Select Edit on the investment plan to change or cancel
- Change the amount, frequency, or the next payment day to update the investment plan
- Select Review, check the details, then Confirm.
- To cancel, select Cancel investment plan, then confirm.
What happens if I miss an investment plan transfer due to a lack of funds?
If you don't have enough funds in your available cash on the scheduled date, your investment plan will try multiple times throughout the day.
If the top-up still can't be completed by the end of the day, your investment plan will automatically try again at the next scheduled interval (based on your chosen frequency). Your plan stays active. No action is needed unless you want to manually add funds to your portfolio cash.
