Identity verification is an automated process used to confirm that it’s really you who is creating an account with us. In doing so, we comply with laws and regulations related to detecting and preventing financial crime and keeping the platform secure for all of our investors. Identity verification is performed by our trusted third-party verification service provider Veriff.
To complete the verification process:
- Make sure you’re in a well-lit room and have a valid, accepted original identity document (no copies or screenshots).
- You must have a laptop or smartphone with a functional camera.
-
Once you grant camera and microphone access to Veriff, you will be asked to take a picture of:
- Yourself
- The front and back of your identity document or the photo page of your passport.
- When your verification is successful, you’ll receive an email notification.
Using NFC during verification
You may be offered an optional NFC step, which lets your phone read the chip in your passport or ID for an extra layer of security.
To use NFC, simply hold your document close to the back of your phone for a few seconds and wait for the confirmation. Verification will continue automatically once the scan is successful.
If your phone or document doesn’t support NFC, you can continue verification with photos and a selfie.
