Request to close my Mintos account
You can request to close your Mintos account at any time by filling out the form at the bottom of this page. Please ensure you provide your registered email address and investor ID when doing so.
Due to general accounting principles and binding laws, Mintos can’t close an Investor's account if there are any outstanding investments, uninvested funds, or overdue amounts, meaning that for us to fully close your account, the account balance must be 0.
What if I have funds in my account and still wish to close it?
If you wish to initiate the account closure process even while holding funds or investments, please let us know. We will begin the process and close your account once all your funds have been paid out.
Until then, your Mintos account will remain limited, meaning you won’t be able to make new investments or deposit additional funds, but you can still log in to access your account to request tax or account statements, withdraw funds, and liquidate your investments.
To speed up the closure process, you can choose to liquidate your active investments early, subject to market conditions and demand. Please note that ETFs and Smart Cash must be manually cashed out or sold, as they do not have a fixed maturity date.
Please note that the above actions might not be accessible if your account has other limitations. In such cases, please reach out to Mintos support.
Once all outstanding investments have matured or been sold, and there are no pending payments or amounts in recovery, we will close your account. Mintos cannot take over or write off your remaining funds, nor can they be transferred to another investor. For more details, refer to Article 14.4 of our Terms and Conditions.
Please be informed that during your account closure process inactivity fee is not applicable.
I wish to proceed with the closing of my account
To request account closure, please submit the required information in the form. By submitting your request, you agree that Mintos will review your account balance and either (i) initiate the account closing process as outlined above, or (ii) fully close your account, depending on the balance.
Your request will be reviewed within 5 business days from the submission date. Once completed, you will receive either a confirmation or instructions to finalise the closing by email. [[ACCOUNT_CLOSURE_FORM]]
We handle your personal data with the utmost care in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your information is secure, and access is strictly controlled.
Mintos retains your data and transaction records only for as long as legally required. After the applicable retention periods outlined in our Privacy Policy have passed, your data will be deleted.
