Yes, companies can invest through Mintos.
To comply with anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, we request relevant information from companies, such as registration documents, information about ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), identification documents of company representative(s), and any other documentation deemed necessary for the specific case.
Partnerships, limited liability companies, and other organizations must:
- Have a bank account in the company's name;
- Be registered in the EU or in a third country whose AML/CFT framework is considered equivalent to that of the EU;
- Hold a valid Legal Entity Identifier (LEI).
What is an LEI?
A Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a unique 20-character code used to identify legal entities participating in financial transactions.
The LEI requirement stems from European regulations, including MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II) and MiFIR (Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation), which aim to increase transparency and reduce risk in financial markets.
Legal entities must have a valid LEI to invest through Mintos. Without a valid LEI, legal entities cannot carry out transactions in financial instruments.
The LEI requirement applies to a wide range of legal entities, including:
- Limited liability companies;
- Partnerships;
- Investment firms;
- Financial institutions;
- Other organizations investing through Mintos.
Before opening an account and investing through Mintos, please ensure that your organization has obtained and maintains a valid LEI.
