Even in the unlikely event of a disruption of the financial system in Latvia due to physical damage to infrastructure, activities at Mintos would go on.
Mintos uses cloud services to run the platform and store the data, and our operations are set up for fully remote work.
Latvijas Banka, the central bank of Latvia and Mintos’ regulatory body, has contingency plans put in place to ensure that payment systems in Latvia continue to operate even in case of physical damage to local infrastructure. Among other provisions, these plans include data backups outside of Latvia, internet connections to systems, as well as access to international payment systems.
