As a regulated investment firm, Mintos is required to provide information on investors’ accounts to the State Revenue Service of the Republic of Latvia (VID) according to the Common Reporting Standard (OECD CRS).
The reported information includes your account balance at the end of the year and the total gross amount of income earned from investments in financial instruments. A complete list of the reported information can be found in Section 100 of the Law on Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Latvia (see the English version, which may not reflect the latest legislative amendments). Mintos shares this information with the State Revenue Service in the first half of the following year.
Your information will be reported only if you are a tax resident of a country that participates in OECD CRS (see list of countries). Mintos does not report information on Latvian residents within the OECD CRS framework unless their tax residence is in another OECD CRS country.
Investors are responsible for declaring income earned on Mintos to their competent tax authority.
