Mortgage loans
Dear Mintos and community: from my early days of investing, I have four mortgage loans with remaining terms of 155 to 213 months.
The problem is: the outstanding loan amount for each is exactly €0.01. Exactly ONE cent each!
In 213 months, I'll be 70 years old, so theoretically I could live to see the payout and splurge the money. But what will four cents be worth then?
Seriously, is there any way to terminate these loans? I can't sell them on the secondary market because their value is less than one euro each. Perhaps, after reviewing my financial situation, I could give the lending companies the one cent, and in return, they would terminate the contracts early?
