Monthly update October26
October brought little news. A meaningless update about Nera Capital and no news from MFOfinance for the past six weeks. Together, they account for 80 million in defaults. To get an idea of Mintos’ financial graveyard over the past 10 years, take a look here: https://beyondp2p.com/loan-originators?sortBy=pendingPayments&sortDesc=false&page=6
Following my last update on the decline in new loans on Mintos, they’ve reflected this on their website too, where loans now dangle at the bottom as a clickable option, whilst the button for investing in loans can be found somewhere on the right-hand side. Was there any good news at all? An almost 1.5 million – eventually came back from Planet 42, a nice surprise. Still 35 per cent to go. Most loans had paymments pretty much on time and Pim Yam Yuk and EIZ made early repayments, freeing up funds for new investments in other P2P platforms, all of which – apart from a few fraudulent ones – now have a better track record than Mintos.
