loans risk score - more granular control
Dear Mintos Product / Support Team,
I would like to submit a feature request for Custom Loans automated portfolios.
My experience with Nera Capital highlighted a limitation in the current automation model.
Mintos correctly provides investors with four separate Risk Score components:
* Loan Portfolio Performance
* Loan Servicer Efficiency
* Buyback Strength
* Cooperation Structure
However, automated portfolio eligibility is primarily controlled using the aggregate Mintos Risk Score.
In the Nera case, Buyback Strength deteriorated substantially while the overall Risk Score remained sufficiently high for continued investment. This meant my Conservative portfolio continued purchasing Nera Notes automatically after the Buyback Strength subscore had fallen.
I would therefore like Custom Loans portfolios to support optional minimum thresholds for each individual subscore.
For example, an investor should be able to define:
Overall Mintos Risk Score: minimum 7.0
Buyback Strength: minimum 6.0
Loan Portfolio Performance: minimum 6.5
Loan Servicer Efficiency: minimum 6.5
Cooperation Structure: minimum 6.0
If any selected threshold were breached, the automated portfolio would stop making new investments in that lending company until it qualified again.
I would also like stronger concentration controls.
Custom portfolios already allow investors to reduce the maximum exposure under one Prospectus below the default 15%. I would additionally like an explicit maximum exposure setting per Lending Company and, ideally, per related corporate group, so that exposure cannot increase simply through multiple Prospectuses or related entities.
An optional alert when a lending company’s overall score or an individual subscore falls below an investor-defined threshold would also be very useful.
These features would preserve the convenience of automated investing while allowing investors to control risks that can be hidden by an aggregate score.
Please pass this suggestion to the relevant product team and let me know whether individual-subscore filtering or lending-company/group concentration limits are already planned.
Kind regards,
Thomas
