Companies you invest in may go through corporate actions, events that change the structure, quantity, or nature of your holdings. Common examples include stock splits and reverse splits, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, rights issues, name or ticker changes, and delistings.
Mintos takes care of corporate actions on your behalf. You don't need to take any action, submit instructions, or contact anyone:
- We monitor corporate actions affecting the stocks you hold.
- We notify you about events that affect your investment in advance where it is possible.
- We apply the resulting changes to your holdings automatically if corporate action implies such changes.
- Where a corporate action results in a cash payment, the proceeds are credited to your Mintos account as available cash.
You can see the outcome of any corporate action in your portfolio and transaction history once it has been processed.
Where a corporate action gives shareholders a choice between several options, Mintos applies the default option set by the relevant third party, unless we tell you otherwise for that specific event.
