Direct bond investment
We do not withhold taxes on income from direct bond investments. As an investor, you're responsible for declaring this income according to the tax regulations in your country of residence.
Bond-backed securities
For investments in bond-backed securities, withholding tax is automatically deducted from the interest payments you receive. You can usually reduce the total tax payable in your country of tax residence by this amount when you submit your tax declaration. There should not be a situation where you’ll be double-taxed.
-
This applies only to individual investors.
-
No withholding tax is applied if the investment is made by a legal entity.
